About Monkeyflora Play Clothes
Welcome to Monkeyflora! We are planted in a lovely seaside town in California where, among the many other wildly interesting things we do, we make and design Play Clothes. And sometimes, among the simply lovely and sweet routines of daily living, we make cookies, and write poetry, change diapers and walk dogs. But, the Play Clothes, well, those my friend, are hand silk-screened designs using water-based inks, on (mostly) organic cotton.
Modern and timeless (curiously, these are not mutually exclusive) images of tricycles and stingray bikes (replete with banana seat), scooters, vegetables, and tools. And someday, God willing and the barn don’t burn down, countless other things that we want to see on the fronts of some little monkey’s tee-shirt, and sometimes big monkeys, too. Sometimes.
There are two of us at the helm (Beth and Lynn) and we have been friends for a very, very long time. We put a lot of stock in friendships. While we haven’t quit our day jobs (good to hold on to those), we are so genuinely excited about growing and further “greening”, Monkeyflora and we thank you, most sincerely, for shopping with us.
